In November of 2019 the Macleay Valley, like much of Australia, was ravaged by bushfires. Our school was closed for a week as breathing became impossible and the community became threatened. A year later, a group of Stage 3 students at Kempsey West Public School came together to reflect on those events using our school's shiny new podcasting equipment. This is our first attempt at a podcast and we are very proud of it. Tallarah, Brodie, Corey, Alexi, Shyla, Aiden and Imogen planned and recorded the podcast over two busy days, enlisting SLSO Jamie, office lady Kellie and helicopter pilot Ash to tell their stories.
